The Community Engagement Collaborative & the Provost present the Service-Learning & Community Engagement Awards (SL/CE) 2012. The event will highlight the contributions of individuals and organizations in strengthening community through academics, service, learning and leadership.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can any one nominate a student, faculty, community partner, and collaborative project for the awards?
Yes, we greatly encourage community members to nominate SJSU students, SJSU Faculty, SJSU Community Organization Partners, and SJSU collaborative projects.
2. Must I be a current SJSU student to be considered for the Student Awards?
Yes, you must be a current SJSU student to recieve the award. Alumni are not elligible for the SJSU student award.
3. Can I nominate myself?
Yes, you can self-nominate.
4. Is Academic course affiliation required for the Martin Luther King Student Award, Smith & Carlos Student Award, and the César Chavez Student Award?
These three awards do not require academic course affiliation but recipient must be current SJSU students. All other Person or Collaborative Project award should be affiliated with an SJSU academic course
