Senior Instructional Designer and Instructor

As an instructional designer, Mei supports faculty and staff to use instructional technologies and instructional design to enhance their professional work for students. She provides one-on-one consultations as well as collaborates in faculty-initiated projects such as, course design or teaching materials design and development; new curriculum planning; technology integration in the classroom, etc.

She also designs and conducts workshops for a variety of topics. In 2011-2012 the workshop topics include: Pedagogy in Online Learning and Teaching, Go Forward with Backward Design: A Course Design workshop, Alignment of Learning Outcomes, Engaging Students Online with Elluminate Live! Building Online Collaboration with Wikis in Google Apps, Time Saving Development Tools from Elluminate: Plan and Publish, Enhance Student Writing with Tools from Turnitin: Originality Report, PeerMark, and GradeMark, Developing Interactive Lecture with PowerPoint, etc. For descriptions of workshops please visit Session Descriptions in our Events page.
