Faculty-in-Residence Program

As Faculty-in-Residence for General Education, Professor Scot Guenter performs a range of different tasks, all of them with the goal of helping and supporting faculty in the effective teaching of all G.E. courses at San José State. Scot is available for consultation to individual instructors, to course coordinators, or to groups of faculty teaching in any area of general education.

He can work with faculty interested in creating a new G.E. course or with faculty currently teaching in G.E. who wish to possibly modify or adapt their assessment or pedagogical approaches to better meet G.E. course objectives. He is also there for any course coordinators who desire advice or assistance at any time with issues related to assessment, interpretation of the G.E. Guidelines, or effective coordination.
