Program Description

With so many plates spinning, it can be difficult for faculty to make time for their scholarly and creative agendas.  The Center offers a variety of sessions and resources to assist faculty in creating - and taking advantage of - time to write... Please  take a look at this year's events, and plan ahead!

Writing Marathon Program 

Several times each year, the Center partners with the Office of Research and with the University Library to offer "oases" - time and space for faculty to come and write, uninterrupted. Upon request, we can provide consulting (about library searches, research design, data analysis, and similar topics) as well as a critical-friend review of your manuscripts.

Time Management and Planning Sessions

Getting off to a good start:  Time management strategies and organization tips for crazy-busy faculty

The academic semester has a tendency to fly by, and we are often frustrated by how little we feel we have accomplished by the end of the term.  Please join me for an hour-long workshop on strategies to align your time with your priorities and increase your productivity while striving for balance in your life. Location: Sessions will take place in IRC 210Session dates and times: Thursday, August 23, 2018 and reapeated on Monday, August 27, 2018, and Thursday, August 30, 10-11:30Sign-up form: Time Management Workshop sign-up.

Each semester, the Center for Faculty Development partners with the University Library, to offer workshops and informational sessions on topics designed to support faculty writing and scholarship.
