Preschool
Classes meet approximately September through very early December and February through early May. There is no summer program. Openings in the preschoolThere are often openings in both toddler programs (M/W or T/Th) and the afternoon preschool (M-Th). To apply, complete and send us the application form. ToddlersThe toddler program is designed for children who are two years old by the early fall. Children do not have to be toilet trained to enroll. The program for 14 children is staffed by a teacher who is assisted by two-four adult students who are majoring in Child and Adolescent Development. Children attend two days per week, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00 - 11:00. PreschoolThe preschool multi-age group is designed for three-to--five-year-old children (they must be toilet trained to enroll). Children attend Monday - Thursday in either the morning (9:00 - 11:30) or the afternoon (12:30 - 3:00) session. A teacher, a part-time aide (morning only), and four-six adult Child and Adolescent Development students work with the 20 children in each session. EnrollmentWe accept applications to our program throughout the year. Each application is dated when it is received. We fill vacancies from our waiting list in order of the date of receipt of the application. The director or the teacher calls new families about openings as they become available. Once on the waiting list, there is no need to call the preschool about openings. In March we re-enroll current families for fall. In late March/early April by mail we notify families on our waiting list about openings available for the next fall. Parent have approximately two weeks to decide whether to accept the opening.
