Project Management

San Jose State University (SJSU) announces new courses in Project Management perfectly aligned with the new Talent Triangle required by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Starting Spring 2016, SJSU will be offering instructor-led project management courses aligned with the new PMI - Talent Triangle requirements.

PMI’s Talent Triangle consists of three areas of expertise:

  1. Technical project management
    Technical Project Management comprises the knowledge, skills, and behaviors pertaining to specific domains of project, program, and portfolio management.
  2. Leadership
    Leadership involves the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to be able to articulate a vision and guiding, motivating, influencing others to help achieve that vision.
  3. Strategic and business management
    Strategic and Business Management is the knowledge of and expertise in the industry or organization that enhances performance and better delivers business outcomes.


Human Resources: People Operations

The future is coming to the Human Resources field and the SJSU Professional Development Center is on it! Evidence-based People Operations are transforming the Human Resources field. A modern People Operations organization is about building a strong culture, differentiated corporate identity, and the underlying infrastructure to make all this happen. Who companies fire, hire and retain is one of the biggest factors in predicting future success. The team that owns this process must understand business goals, market trends, and must partner internally for strategic retainment. People Operations plays a critical role in implementing the strategies to promote cross-functional alignment, a unified corporate vision and more. REFUND POLICY: Full Refund (less $20 processing fee) IF class dropped at least one week before class start date. NO Refund when class dropped within one week of class (or later).  If payment by credit card is not paid by the bank, student is responsible for all course fees plus a $25.00 fee.

CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after fees are initially charged or initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees. All listed fees, other than mandatory systemwide fees, are subject to change without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate. Changes in mandatory systemwide fees will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Sections 66028 - 66028.6 of the Education Code).
