Achievements


Dr. Annette Nellen, professor of tax and current chair of the tax executive committee testified before the US Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s hearing on tax reform. You can read her hearing testimony here.

Dr. Jennifer Bechkoff was one of the recipients of the 2017 Louis W. Stern Award for her contribution to the article "The Role of Customer Gratitude in Relationship Marketing" appearing in the Journal of Marketing, 73 (September 2009).The Louis W. Stern Award, established by Louis W. and Rhona L. Stern in 1999 through the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF), recognizes the outstanding article, in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal, which has made a significant contribution to the literature on marketing and channels distribution.  Named for the John D. Gray Distinguished Professor of Marketing at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, the award is intended to encourage the academic community to continue to produce high quality academic research in the field of marketing channels and distribution.

Dr. Subhankar Dhar received a faculty fellowship to visit Israel in 2017 to take Part in Academic Exchange Exploring Israel’s History, Politics, Culture, and Economy.Twenty-six professors from universities and colleges across the U.S. will depart on Jewish National Fund (JNF) and Media Watch International’s sponsored 2017 Faculty Fellowship Summer Institute in Israel.

Associate Dean Stephen Kwan is a Co-Principal Investigator of a grant that was awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) to direct a “Workshop: Industry-Academe research partnerships to enable the human-technology frontier for next generation smarter service systems.” The PI of the grant is Yassi Moghaddam, Exec Director of ISSIP and another Co-PI is Dr. Jim Spohrer of IBM. This grant is a follow up on one that was awarded to Drs. Kwan and Spohrer together with Dr. Paul Maglio of UC Merced in 2013.

Dr. George Whaley was Appointed Associate Editor, Business Case Journal in January 2017
