The College of Business Family Business Scholarship is awarded in order to encourage students who work in a family business to use their SJSU education to manage and expand their family business. It awards up to $1250 per semester for two semesters for tuition and educational expenses. Ideal applicants must be Undergraduates or MBA students with 2 semesters to go before graduation and a GPA of 3.0 or above. They should be Second or Later generation individual who establishes or acquires a family business.
Applications and all requirements must be submitted by December 14, 2011.

The Silicon Valley Compensation Association Scholarship is open to all students studying Human Resources Management who are enrolled at a certified tertiary education institution who are in need of assistance toward professional development and certification. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

The Burch Merit Scholarship provides up to $1400 for one year for tuition and book costs. It is applied to the 2011-2012 academic school year. An applicant must be enrolled full time (12 units) as a declared business major and can be a first-year freshman student or a transfer student (Junior). Applicants must possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The awardee can apply for the same scholarship in multiple years. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need.
Applications and all requirements must be submitted by August 23, 2011, for the Fall 2011 Semester.

Details on Donn A. Burch Scholarship
The Thayer Scholarship awards up to five Marketing undergraduate students up to $2000 each for one year at a time. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing with the university. A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required.
