The San José State University (SJSU) Economic Summit is an annual event focusing on the analysis and forecast of economic activity at the local, state, and national level. The panelists provide attendees with relevant information to make educated business decisions. The audience is composed of representatives of small and mid-size Bay Area businesses, and members of the SJSU community. The event is free of charge, open to the public and the press.

The SJSU Economic Summit is hosted by the SJSU Center for Banking and Financial Services (CBFS) and made possible by the generous financial support of sponsors. The mission of the CBFS is to establish valuable partnerships with financial institutions and promote knowledge of financial intermediation. The CBFS provides value to the College of Business and the University by enhancing student knowledge through curricular and extra-curricular activities. The CBFS assists the partner institutions in rewarding excellence among students and faculty members through scholarships, internships, and grants.
