Anu Basu

Anuradha Basu is Director of the Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurship and Professor in the School of Global Innovation and Leadership. She is also Faculty Advisor to the SJSU Entrepreneurial Society, which offers internship opportunities and shadow programs for SJSU students.

Prior to joining SJSU in Fall 2003, Dr. Basu was Founder-Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Reading’s Business School and a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Management.

During 2002-03, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Research on Economic Development and Policy Reform, Stanford University. She is an internationally recognized researcher in entrepreneurship and has studied topics such as business growth amongst immigrant entrepreneurs, culture and entrepreneurship, and family enterprise. Professor Basu holds a PhD and an MPhil degree in Economics from King’s College, University of Cambridge, England, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, India, and a BA (Honours) degree in Economics from St. Stephens’ College, University of Delhi, India.



Richard ConniffRichard Conniff
Richard Coniff is the former President/CEO of Focus Business Bank, a community-based bank opened in 2007 by Mr. Coniff and other investors. Previously he was President/COO of Heritage Commerce Corporation, a bank holding company. He is a member of the Lucas College of Business Global Leadership Council and former member of the Business Alumni Association as well as College of Business Distinguished Alumnus, 2003. He received his BS in Business from CSU Long Beach in 1969, and his MBA from San José State in 1987. He and is wife, Sandi, are the of the founders of the College of Business Alumni Association Speaker series.

Jay FulcherJay Fulcher

Jay Fulcher, SJSU alumnus, former CEO, Ooyala Inc and Agile Software; Advisor & Board Member of several companies. With 20 years of experience in leading both public and private technology companies where he has built dynamic, successful
organizations and created new market segments. Previously, Jay served as president and CEO of Ooyala, president and CEO of Agile Software, EVP at Peoplesoft and VP at SAP. Jay has co-founded and launched many early stage start-ups. He is an alum of San Jose State university where he is a member of the Global Leadership Council for the Lucas Graduate School and College of Business.

Reshma Nigam
Started Markable Solutions, with the goal of providing high quality marketing and inside sales services at low costs. As a senior executive managing global operations and service delivery for high technology firms with complete P/L responsibility, Reshma is an innovative marketing and sales executive, focused on driving business results. She works closely with US-based clients to analyze their specific needs and develop winning strategies. Reshma founded aMarketForce and has worked at start-ups such as RightWorks Corporation, Xporta and nthOrbit. She was also VP of Medical Market Research for Frost &Sullivan.
