William O'Rourke

Mr. O’Rourke retired in 2011 from a 36-year career at Alcoa,
where he served in many roles, including president of Alcoa
Russia; vice president for global business services; vice
president of environment, health, and safety; and chief
information officer. After his retirement, he embarked on
a second career teaching and writing about business ethics.
He has served as executive director of the Beard Institute at
Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, as a fellow of the Wheatley
Institution at Brigham Young University, and as board chair of
Sustainable Pittsburgh. He is currently co-authoring a textbook
on business ethics. He brings a wealth of real-world experience in
a global company to the understanding of ethics in practice.
