Thompson Global Internship Program celebrates 5th Anniversary
On Sunday, March 15th, the Thompson Global Internship Program celebrated its fifth
year by hosting a reunion at Flames Eatery in San Jose. 35 alumni of the program
attended and had a wonderful time renewing acquaintances with former teammates and
The highlight of the evening was a Skype call from Jim Thompson. Dean David Steele and professors William Devincenzi and Jeanne Sawyer also attended. The event, which began at 5:00 PM was supposed to end at 8:00, but many alums were still there when the professors left around 9:30 PM!
Six teams of students, based in Hong Kong and London, successfully completed projects in the following areas:
- Key account services project
- Apprentice strategy project
- Strategic Market assessment
In Hong Kong
- IT Cost Analysis
- Price analysis per country
- Update the induction elearning course
Two teams of students successfully completed a marketing project in London and an e-learning assessment/improvement project in Kuala Lumpur.
