Steven is a Portfolio Manager and Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.  He helps clients to invest with impact by incorporating gender diversity into their portfolios. Prior to his current role in financial planning, he spent 8 years as an engineer and manager at Intel. Steven holds a B.S. EE in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Davis and a MBA, Business Administration from University of California, Davis.  He is a Girl Scout Leader, Rotary President and an Eagle Scout. He loves spending time with his wife and two daughters. In his free time he enjoys hiking, running and skiing.

Nahal Iravani-Sani, Deputy District Attorney, Santa Clara County 

Nahal Iravani-Sani has been a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County, California since 1995. She has prosecuted a variety of felonies through all phases of the criminal justice system, including Domestic Violence, Juvenile Wards, Narcotics, Consumer Fraud and Environmental Crimes. She is currently assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit where she prosecutes rape, child molestation, and human trafficking cases, and sex offenders for failing to register pursuant to Meagan's Law.

Iravani-Sani earned her B.A. in 1990 from the University of California, Irvine in Social Ecology, with an emphasis in Criminology and Legal Studies. She received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1993.

Dedicated to education and mentorship, Iravani-Sani instructs Trial Advocacy at Stanford Law School and Santa Clara University School of Law, as well as coaches the Mock Trial Team of a local high school.

Iravani-Sani also served on the Santa Clara County Bar Association Judiciary Committee, entrusted with reviewing judicial candidates and making recommendations to the Governor.

As an immigrant to the United States at a young age, Iravani-Sani is passionate about her role as an ambassador of the Iranian-American community, and giving back to her adopted country. She has served in leadership positions on key nonprofit and professional community organizations, including the boards of Pars Equality Center, the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) and the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA).

Iravani-Sani is actively involved in public schools initiatives and advancing the cause of diversity in the legal profession.

Jazmin Segura

Jazmin is the 2015-2017 Fellow in Nurturing Equity Movements.  Jazmin comes to The San Francisco Foundation with extensive background in the immigrant integration and policy fields. She has a deep passion for creating systemic changes to address the needs of low-income immigrants and communities of color. Most recently, as the Policy Manager at Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC), Jazmin launched and led the development of the organization’s advocacy strategy. Under her direction, E4FC developed its first policy platform and created its first leadership team of policy advocates. Previously, Jazmin served as the Policy Advocate for Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN), where she designed and led advocacy campaigns to foster civic engagement, increase access to education and economic opportunities, and protect the rights of low-income immigrants in Santa Clara County

Jazmin was born in Mexico City and migrated to the United States at the age of nine where she grew up in Boyle Heights, a predominantly Latino neighborhood in Los Angeles.  She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Political Economy. Currently, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley and is a former commissioner for the Human Relations Commission of Santa Clara County.

Nikki Iravani, EyeXam 

Prior to founding EyeXam, Dr. Nikki Iravani was the Vice-President of Clinical and Professional Affairs at CooperVision, the world's second largest contact lens manufacturer. Dr. Iravani has extensive management experience in the contact lens industry as well as clinical ophthalmology and optometry. Dr. Iravani has served as a consultant for a number of eye care related projects and is currently on the advisory board of various start up companies in the ophthalmic industry. Dr. Iravani graduated from the University of California-Irvine with a bachelor of science in biological sciences and received her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston, College of Optometry.

After earning her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing from San Francisco State University, Nancy worked extensively in broadcast including working for the influential channel “KRON TV”, in San Francisco she was a news editor, and a one-woman band reporter for the English show “Latin Eyes”.

Hungry for more Nancy stepped into executive producer and creator of The Common Sense Show, followed by the show Exitos de Estrellas, then Later teamed up with Mio Production and launch “Corazon Musical” on Azteca America.

Today, Nancy offers her professional services as an independent strategic media consultant. She also continues to play within the branch of media production as a TV host for The Travelers Channel, and video spokesperson for Corporate America.
Nancy can be found in marketing ads for national commercials like Lumosity, Pacific Life, Crest, Walk free, Charles Schwab, Xfinity/Comcast, Wells Fargo, National University, Safeway, Blue Shield, Cisco, SF Pier 39, Build.com, FreeStyle, Parkmerced, Verizon, Napa Valley, Ford and many others.

Nancy has been fortunate to tour with the New York company (Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour) along with her sister Christie Rosales to inspire new entrepreneurs, also joining the Inspire Higher Tour created by Silicon Valley Latino.
