Advising in Communication Studies

Don't wait to meet with a Communication Studies advisor! An advisor will help you:

  • plan a program of study that fits with your educational and career goals
  • identify courses consistent with your interests
  • address problems you might encounter in your classes
  • stay on track for graduation

All Communication Studies majors, minors, and graduate students should meet with an advisor every semester to review their program of study. Although your program of study is subject to the approval of both your advisor and the department chair, students are responsible for developing a coherent program.

Major and minor forms for your graduation application are available in the department office, Hugh Gillis Hall 108.

More information on the undergraduate program in communication studies is available on the department's Undergraduate Program page.

More information for graduate students is available on the department's Graduate Program page.

If you haven't met with an advisor yet this semester, make an appointment right now!
