Monday, 4/29
9am: Communication Analysis Poster Session, HGH 219: See communication theories in action as 101C students present their research projects.
10:30am: Senior Legacy Projects, HGH 219: Seniors present their final engagement projects designed to support future COMM Students.
2pm: Dialogic Communication Workshop, IS 113: Dialogue sets up intentional conversation between two parties who respectfully listen to each other and exchange ideas. This workshop discusses stereotypes, demonstrating pragmatic ethical approaches in multi-cultural communication.
Tuesday, 4/30
12:00-2:30pm: Green Networking Event, Umunhum Room, Student Union: Meet Bay Area professionals in the green jobs sector for presentations about sustainability jobs and informal networking opportunities.
3pm: Career Workshop: Three Steps to Getting a Job, HGH 229: Participants will learn how to network effectively both online and in person, create a professional resume, and feel confident in a job interview situation.
6:30pm: BOLT Launch/Writing Consultant Presentations/Raffle, Spartan Bookstore: The Bolt Launch: a reading and celebration of our contest winners and of the first issue. Refreshments provided!
Wednesday 5/1
9am: Communication Analysis Poster Session, HGH 219: See communication theories in action as COMM 101C students present their research projects.
10:30am: Cultural Locations: Performances Across Difference, HGH 231: COMM 123I Students use performance to understand people with different cultural locations than their own.
1:30pm: Juxtapositions & Transformations: Collage Performances, HGH 231: COMM 121P students share original collage performances. Compact. High Energy. Thought Provoking.
Thursday 5/2
1:30pm: Climate Change Community Action Projects,WSQ 207: COMM 168 students present their Community Action Projects that engaged the community to collaboratively mitigate climate change.
Friday 5/3
1:00-5pm: Intramural Forensics Tournament, HGH: End of the semester competition for parliamentary debate, persuasive and informative speeches, and oral interpretation by individuals enrolled in COMM 191.
7:30pm: Califia First Friday Performance Hour, HGH 231: Engaging performances by graduate and undergraduate students. Last Califia of the semester!
