Because of the changes in legislation and in the regulations that control teacher education in California and at SJSU, the credential programs leading to single and multiple subject credentials are under continuous review. Currently, Communication Studies cooperates with the English and Comparative Literature Department in preparing students for secondary school teaching positions.
