Guidelines for Students in the BS+MS Accelerated Program
Advising
- Each semester, you should see your undergraduate advisor for advance registration advising. Bring your degree progress report and unofficial transcript when you see your advisor. For graduate program related matters, you should see graduate advisor for advising.
- For other questions related to the accelerated program, please see program coordinator.
Transition to Graduate Status?
- You will apply to transition to graduate status after you complete 120 units and all your lower division requirements in BS program. This transition is NOT automatic. You need to apply in CSUMentor so that related campus offices know about your status. This application is currently handled by hand, and may take sometime to complete.
- After you become a graduate student, any lower division classes won't count toward your degrees.
- After you become a graduate student, you will pay graduate-level fees and need to maintain an average grade of B or better.
Ready to Graduate?
Students in this program shall complete requirements of both the BS and MS programs and submit graduation paper work for both programs, in a timely manner to allow sufficient processing and evaluation time at university offices.
- Students must prepare undergraduate major form packet with their undergraduate advisors and graduate candidacy form with graduate advisors, at least one year prior to their expected graduation date.
- Students should work with the BS+MS program coordinator to make sure that both the major form packet and the graduate candidacy form are submitted to the correct university offices.
