For faculty and staff members, we recommend using Lotus Notes e-mail software because it has extra features like spell checking, calendaring, instant messaging, to-do lists and more. Staff and Faculty e-mail is available using Lotus Notes e-mail software, other popular IMAP e-mail software or using webmail: https://webmail.sjsu.edu Students Students attending San José State University receive a student e-mail account. Accounts are generated for currently-enrolled students who request one. It is the responsibility of each student to check the e-mail in this account frequently. Students unsure of their account particulars, such as their userid or how to use their account, should contact the University Help Desk. Student e-mail is accessed via a web browser (https://web-mail.sjsu.edu).
