UCAT University Computing Systems provides the following Domino mailbox services to employees:
- Personal accounts: The road to Single Sign-On
- Every employee gets an account
- Each employee gets only one account
- Each account includes
- A mailbox and a campus-standard internet address
- User ID/Password authentication credentials
- A personal certificate and a digital signature
- Each account may
- Be granted access to other mailboxes and calendars
- Grant access to its mailbox to others
- Each account may
- be viewed using
Notes Client
- At webmail.sjsu.edu using Firefox or Internet Explorer
- An IMAP client
- Each account is
- Linked to CMS/HR information
- Managed using CMS/HR information
- Each account appears as
- A "Person" in the University Directory
- Departmental and function-related additional mailboxes
- Each additional mailbox includes
- A campus-standard internet address
- Each additional mailbox may be
- Managed using a personal ID and the Notes client
- Each additional mailbox may be viewed using
- Notes Client and a personal ID with access rights
- At webmail.sjsu.edu using Firefox or Internet Explorer and a personal ID with access rights
- Each additional mailbox appears
- as a "Mailbox," only in the Domino Directory
- Additional mailboxes may not be read using IMAP; this is a technical limitation
- desktop videoconferencing and whiteboard capabilities
