University Computing :: Using E-mailThere are many different options for access to e-mail on the San José State University campus. In addition to UCAT's Domino Lotus Notes and Unix e-mail systems, there are forty different e-mail servers operating on campus. Each system is maintained by a separate department or college on campus. The criteria for who can have an account on these non-UCAT e-mail system is strictly a local decision and each unit must be contacted individually to determine eligibility. UCAT provides Unix based e-mail accounts to all students, faculty and staff who are considered active by HR. For faculty and staff, UCAT recommends and provides Lotus Notes accounts.
