All students enrolled in seventh grade in Fall 1999 at Burnett Middle, Hoover Middle, and Steinbeck Middle School will be eligible for participation in the project for five to six years.
When these middle school students enter San Jose High, Lincoln High, and Gunderson High School in 2001. They will continue to be Gear Up project students. The project services will follow them and continue to provide counseling and academic support till their high school graduation.
