      State and Local Implementation of IDEA

      OSEP is supporting the design of an evaluation of the implementation and impact of the provisions of the reauthorized IDEA to address, in part, the IDEA '97 requirements for conducting a national assessment of special education (Section 674(b) of IDEA). This evaluation, entitled the State and Local Implementation of IDEA (SLIIDEA), will assess the implementation and impact of the provisions of IDEA '97 on state, local, and school level policies and practices.
