What is Spartan Squad?
Spartan Squad is the official student athletic booster program of San José State University supporting SJSU athletics. Founded in the Fall of 2005 by Matthew Olivieri and Brad Villeggiante, with support from Associated Students, the Squad increases SJSU pride, unity and spirit throughout the student body.
Spartans Transform Construction Site into a Work of Art
An SJSU Art student painting a mural, located by the Student Union, in front of the Art Building. Students have decided to paint the wall that was put up after construction started in order to celebrates the continuity of the past and present by showcasing artist self-portraits of the past five hundred years.
Welcome to the Counselor Education Department at San Jose State University! We provide two excellent programs to choose from to meet your personal and professional goals: Masters of Arts in Counselor Education and a PPS Credential in Counselor Education. Our faculty work closely with students to build effective assessment and counseling skills, nurture reflective thinking and inter-cultural awareness, and provide the experiences graduates will need to become dynamic leaders committed to lifelong learning.

Fall 2013 Applicants:
Application for fall 2013 is now open. The deadline to apply on CSU Mentor is on May
1, 2013. All documents (letters of recommendations, autobiography, cover sheet, and
transcripts) are due by May 15, 2013.
Reminders:
- Please note that transcripts are to be sent to: Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations
(GAPE), and not to the Counselor Education department.
- Once your status changes to "Referred to Department", please call us to make sure that we received your documents.
