I have
had the good fortune to be an Educational Counselor for 20 years
working in the Office of Admissions, Educational Opportunity Programs,
Career Centers, General Counseling, Academic Advising, Residential
Life. My employers have been Hoover High School, Mission Bay High,
Humboldt State University, University of California, Santa Cruz,
Cabrillo College and San Jose State University.
I received my BA from the University of California,
San Diego and my MA from San Jose State. I am currently a member
of the counseling faculty serving in the Career Center at Cabrillo
College in Aptos, California.
My specialty is Career Counseling and Assessment.
I teach the Practicum in Lifespan and Career Development (EDCO 267)
for Counselor Education, counseling and guidance courses (CG 54)
for undergraduates at Cabrillo College and career development at
our local alternative high school, Delta School.
I am an avid gardener, boater and fisherman. I believe
career development to be an increasingly integral process in student
development and success. Counselors who understand and incorporate
career development in their practice and instruction are of greater
value to their clients and colleagues.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling the Inside
Passage with my wife Tonie. You are welcome to take a trip with
