Evaluating Assessment (phase 1)
In consultation with the instructors, the course coordinator writes a Course Assessment Reports (CAR) that summarizes the data gathered in the Task Assessment Report (TARs). The CAR analyzes the data and makes recommendations. Examples of recommendations include changes to pedagogy, curriculum, rubrics, or the POA. The CAR is submitted to the assessment committee.
Evaluating Assessment (phase 2)
Using the CARs and consulting with the course coordinators, the assessment committee writes an Outcomes Assessment Report (OAR) that evaluates how well the assessed outcomes are being enabled and how well implemented recommendations have worked. The OAR makes recommendations for future changes. The report is published on the department's Assessment web site.
