In 2005, Capt Robert Adamis received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University, San Jose, CA. He also received his commission from AFROTC Det 045 at San Jose State, California.
His first duty assignment as an Operational Analyst was with the 59th Test & Evaluation Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada. During this period, he was the lead for the 20-person team responsible for the F-15E Strike Eagle Target Location Error (TLE) analysis. He also was integral in the test and evaluation of several cutting-edge weapon systems, to include the F-16, F-15C, A-10 and F-22 airframes. In 2008, he was assigned to Detachment 4, 53rd Test Management Group at Creech Air Force Base, Indian Springs, Nevada. Working with the Predator and Reaper Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) platforms, he orchestrated a 7-person team in the test planning, execution and data analysis of all RPA testing at Det 4. In 2009, he was assigned to work as an AFROTC instructor at AFROTC Detachment 088, Sacramento State University, Sacramento, California.
Currently, he is the Recruiting Flight Commander at AFROTC Detachment 045, San José State University, San Jose, CA. He is responsible for all recruiting efforts and he promotes Air Force career opportunities to university, college, and high school students. He is also the Aerospace Studies 200 instructor, overseeing instruction to the sophomore students at the detachment. Additionally, Capt Adamis serves as the Outreach Officer to the university’s History Department and campus Veterans’ Affairs organization by manning the Burdick Military History Library and keeping it open for students and faculty.
