A DAY AT THE CAPITOL

The Department of Political Science sponsors an annual daylong bus trip to the State Capitol in Sacramento. Pictures of the Spring 2004 trip can be found at the bottom of this page.

Highlights of the trip will include:
A tour of the Capitol building, meetings with legislators, lobbyists, media representatives, and SJSU interns.

Opportunities to meet local legislators, attend committee hearings, visit historic buildings and museums or walk around Old Sacramento.

Cost for the bus trip is $20 per person (lunch included), with the remaining portion subsidized by the Department of Political Science. The cost for the trip must be paid at the time you sign up.

The bus will depart San Jose State University at 6:30 A.M. at the corner of 10th Street and San Antonio (right along side the Business Tower) and leave the Capitol at 3:30 P.M., with a scheduled arrival in San Jose at 6:00 P.M.

To attend, interested students and faculty should sign up with Department Staff in CL 471.
