Miguel A. Chacon recieved his undergraduate degree in Administration of Justice from San Jose State University and his law degree from Hasting College of Law in San Francisco. He has been in private practice since 1981, representing plaintiffs in civil cases and defendants in criminal matters. He is Chairperson of the Small Business Commission for the city of San Jose, and he is also a legal/political commentator for Telemundo's channel 48, the local Spanish language television station.

Dr. Sharyl Cross holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Cross was a Graduate Fellowship Scholar at the RAND/UCLA Center for Soviet Studies and Postdoctoral US State Department Title VIII Scholar at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. During 1994-1996, she was Visiting Professor of International Security and Trans-Regional Studies at the United States Air University/Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. She has received grant awards from sources including IREX, US State Department (Title VIII), NATO-EAPC, the Kennan Institute and California State University to support research concerning Russian international behavior and regional security issues in the Balkans and Latin America. Her publications include Global Security Beyond the Millennium: American and Russian Perspectives co-edited with Igor A Zevelev, Victor A. Kremenyuk and Vagan M. Gevorgian, Macmillan Press, 1999 and The New Chapter in United States-Russian Relations: Opportunities and Challenges, co-edited with Marina A. Oborotova, Praeger, 1994. Her articles have appeared in Communist and Post-Communist Studies, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Survey, Mediterranean Quarterly, Journal of Political and Military Sociology and SShA. She was recently awarded the Fulbright Scholarship and was Visiting Research Scholar and Professor at the Institute of USA and Canada Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO) in 1999.

Dorabji, Elena received her Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley when it was a hotbed of radicalism. Her major area of specialization was comparative politics with emphasis on Africa, especially South Africa. Her present areas of research and focus are the study of comparative political
cultures, America's social values, especially as they affect women and children. Elena is the current San Jose State lecturer representative for the California Faculty Association, the union representing faculty interests statewide for the CSU.

Mc Craw, William (Emeritus Professor) is an esteemed emeritus professor of political theory. He also teaches in the Humanities Department. Professor McCraw emphasizes in all his courses the relationship between politics, ideas, history, and the arts.

Montojo, Kenneth earned his Ph.D. from University of California at Santa Barbara. His specialties are international and comparative political economy, with an emphasis on Southeast Asia. He recently authored an article on Philippine oil deregulation and is currently working on other projects regarding international and regional cooperation. He also has a strong interest in American Politics and has a soft spot for civil liberties issues. Kenneth's classes stress critical thinking and incorporate technology as a means to enhance student learning. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends, swimming, running, sampling new cuisines, and improving the quality of his still limited, yet promising, musical abilities.

Albert Schendan recieved his MA in Political Science from SFSU,2004. His major area of specialization is American government and political theory. He also hasa strong interest in political ideology and comparative politics.

Ken Yeager has been a lecturer at San Jose State since 1991, focusing on American government, State politics, local politics, interest groups, and political campaigns. Ken earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University and B.A. from San Jose State University. Dr. Yeager was elected to the San Jose City Council in November 2000.

Kathryn Wood Instructor of Methodology, International Relations and Comparative Politics. Research interests include Spanish Military Politics and Nationalistic Violence. Graduated from UC Santa Barbara with an MA in Political Science, 1999. Currently working on finishing a dissertation titled: The NATO Effect: How integrating the Spanish Military led Democratic Consolidation in Spain.
