MISSION
Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Honor Society, was founded in 1920 and today includes over 112,000 members. Epsilon Iota, the San Jose University chapter, has been active since 1968. The purpose of Pi Sigma Alpha is to stimulate scholarship and interest in the subject of government by providing tangible recognition to students who excel in the field.
 
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to undergraduates, both majors and minors; graduate students; faculty; and alumni. There are two types of membership available.
Full Membership
*Completion of 10 units of political science courses, six units of which must be upper division. *Average grade point average of 3.0 or higher in political science courses.
Associate Membership
Anyone who does not meet the above standards is encouraged to become an associate member. You can reapply for full membership when your status changes.
Cost
There is a one time $30 lifetime initiation fee, plus a $20 annual chapter fee. Associate members pay the $20 annual chapter fee.
