The Four Behavioral Science Majors
SJSU offers a Behavioral Science major which allows students to develop an inter-disciplinary perspective on human behavior. In addition, there are three Behavioral Science double majors that allow students to develop a deeper understanding of anthropology, psychology, or sociology. These majors are especially appropriate for students preparing to work in jobs which require extensive understanding of human behavior, such as social work, human resource management, counseling, teaching, etc.
The four options for Behavioral Science Majors include:
A General Behavioral Science Major
A Behavioral Science Major with a Double in Anthropology
A Behavioral Science Major with a Double in Psychology
A Behavioral Science Major with a Double in Sociology
The Department of Anthropology is the home department for the Behavioral Science Program, including the three double majors. All major advising must be done in the Anthropology department.
