Carol Mukhopadhyay

Dr. Mukhopadhyay offers courses in gender and culture, human sexuality, language and culture, theory, and methodology. Her research interests include sexual division of labor (in households, occupations and science and technology); folk theories of gender; and multicultural education.

Together with Assistant Professor Roberto Gonzalez she has prepared a list of relevant web-based resources to enhance and deepen the public understanding of the context surrounding "September 11th."

The Cultural Context
of Gendered Science:
the case of India

Carol's other passion! She began to play the violin when she was eight years old. After a long hiatus, she returned to playing the violin following graduate school. In addition to teaching and research in the field of anthropology, she actively participates in various chamber music groups.
