WHAT WE ARE:

The American Beethoven Society is a national society of individuals devoted to the study and appreciation of Beethoven and his music.

WHAT WE DO:

The Society co-publishes the internationally acclaimed Beethoven Journal, which appears two times a year and contains a wide range of articles, reviews of books, sound recordings, and videos, bibliographies of new books, and news of interest to all Beethoven lovers.

The Society sponsors research on Beethoven.

The Society is helping to build a comprehensive collection of Beethoven materials at the Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies (housed at San Jose State University, San Jose, California).

The Society helps support the Beethoven Bibliography Database, a comprehensive Beethoven bibliography available for searching through the Internet.

The American Beethoven Society is dedicated to the creative genius of Beethoven, whose music speaks to the heart and mind of humanity. Your membership supports the work of the Center and insures that it will celebrate Beethoven's remarkable legacy for generations to come.
