Aaron Goldstein
Alumni
BM, San Jose State University, 2000 (Composition)
Aaron Goldstein was born in San Jose, CA on June 4, 1975. Upon
graduating from Andrew Hill High School in 1993, he attended Foothill
Junior College for two years and then transfered to San Jose State
University (SJSU). Mr. Goldstein entered as a piano major with a
scholarship, but quickly realized that he was much more interested
in exploring the creation of music. As a result, he changed his
major to composition. Mr Goldstein studied under Dr. Pablo Furman
and received a BM in Composition in May of 2000.
During his educational stay at SJSU he collaborated with some animators
in the Art Department and found his passion for writing music to
picture. It was then that he realized that he wanted to write music
for films. He moved to Los Angeles in July 2001 and enrolled in
the UCLA Extension School for the Film Scoring Certificate. Recently,
Mr Goldstein was accepted to UCLA for graduate studies in composition.
Upon graduation he made L.A. his home and has been working successfully
as a film and T.V composer. One of his latest projects was scoring
the music for a Disney's "That's so Raven" show.
