The Department of Economics offers a broad range of degrees from which students can choose.
Our flexible programs allow you to tailor a course of study to fits your needs.
Please work with your academic advisor to choose the degree that best suits your academic goals.

Economics classes online.
Check the
current semester class schedule to determine which Economics courses are availble.
A Minor in Economics is available to SJSU students pursuing another major.
Admission to the Economics Degree Programs
Students must be admitted per
San Jose State's requirements
as an incoming Freshman, a Transfer Student,
or a Graduate Degree Candidate.
GE Breadth & Advanced GE Requirement
Many credits earned at
another University or Community College will count both towards SJSU's General Education Breadth requirements and
for the B.A and B.S. Economics degrees.
SJSU also requires that students complete Advanced GE courses in residence. These include a 100W writing class. Economics Majors should take
ECON 100W when it is offered, or may take any other 100W class.
