José State University's
ENVIRONMENTAL FORUM The university-wide Environmental Forum is an open forum of faculty interested in environmental programs at SJSU. We meet once a month during the semester and are open to the participation of all interested faculty. Some of the projects that we are working on include: engaging and focusing interest in environmental issues through speaker series; promoting SJSU environmental programs through coordinated outreach (web site and brochure); sustaining student commitment through the development of environmental scholarships, encouraging high quality environmental curriculum, research, and collaborations through interdepartmental discussion, grant development, and enhanced electronic communications among faculty and students interested in the environment. Our goals are to facilitate a broad, interdisciplinary dialog on environmental issues on campus; to enhance environmental curricula at SJSU; to recruit well qualified students to SJSU's environmental programs; to encourage environmental research and collaborations; and to provide outreach to the community regarding environmental programs and opportunities.
