ESRI Site License
San Jose State University participates in the California State University site licensing program for products from Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), a major supplier of geographic information systems.This licensing program provides San Jose State departments with access to industry-standard software for courses, research, and administration. Software available through the licensing program includes:

ArcGIS is ESRI's primary desktop GIS package providing their full range of mapping and geographic analysis tools. The software runs on Windows NT, 2000, and XP.
Standard workstation product for creating and analyzing geographic information. The current shipping version is 8.3, which runs in Windows NT, 2000, and XP, and a number of Unix environments.
Tools for delivering mapping solutions over the Internet through a Web browser.

Tools for delivering GIS solutions over the Internet.

A library of components for developing custom GIS applications. Available for ActiveX and Java environments.
A dedicated business mapping program for managing and analyzing customer data and planning marketing programs.
A specialized application for managing the movement of assets, particularly transportation of equipment and materials.
