Jake Coolidge, a graduate student in the Geography M.A. program, has been awarded the Bay Area Mapping Association's (BAAMA) 2009 Educational Scholarship for his animated cartogram of population change in California from 1900 to 2000. ERDAS Imagine
The Department of Geography has ERDAS Imagine, an image processing package for analyzing remotely-sensed imagery running in the GIS Lab. Those interested in learning more about this software may contact Dr. Gary Pereira.
