Student ProjectsComputer Concepts and Applications

About the Program
By completing 12 units of courses you may add to your California teaching credential (Multiple Subject or Standard Elementary Teaching Credential and Single Subject or Secondary Teaching Credential) the authorization to teach Computer Concepts and Applications.

To obtain supplemental authorization in Computer Concepts and Applications, the credential holder must complete 6 units of required courses and 6 units of electives.

Core Courses - Required:

EDIT 122 (3 units) Microcomputers in Education
EDIT 124 (3 units) Selection and Evaluation of Computer Assisted Instruction Software

Elective Courses:
(Take two of the following electives)

EDIT 127 (3 units) Authoring Microcomputer Programs
EDIT 128 (3 units) Instructional Microcomputer Graphics
EDIT 180 (3 units) Individual Studies
EDIT 271 (3 units) Computer Applications Seminar
EDIT 278 (3 units) Instructional Interactive Video
