Minoring in Jewish Studies

SJSU has offered an interdisciplinary minor degree in Jewish Studies for thirty- seven years. The degree is recognized by social service and community agencies and advanced degree programs. Our minors have graduated into jobs teaching at Jewish day schools and serving the community and MA and PhD programs in History and Middle East Studies; likewise, they have entered the widest possible spectrum of jobs and advanced degree programs: Jewish Studies opens windows of insight and critical thinking in the focus and method of study.

Please download the Jewish Studies Minor Form, where you'll find details about minor requirements. Make an appointment with the Jewish Studies Coordinator to complete your application process.

Non-matriculating students: Many SJSU courses are open to community members who enroll in Jewish Studies courses through Open University or the Over-60 Program. Contact program coordinator Vicki Harrison for further details or to seek information about either of these programs.
