Students who are participating in certified SJSU study abroad programs can use all of the financial aid (except work study) for which they are normally qualified. In some cases, awards may be adjusted if a study abroad program costs more than studying at SJSU. Financial aid cannot be used on self-support SJSU study abroad programs or non-certified programs through other universities or providers.

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid early by completing the FAFSA and speaking to the financial aid counselor responsible for study abroad students:
