With a vast international background (living in Argentina, Spain, Austria, Mexico and USA; and working in over ten countries), Sonia Oster embraces this cultural diversity and translates it into her design work. She received her MFA in Visual Communication Design with focus on New Media at The Ohio State University as a Fulbright scholar and she is currently serving as President of the Argentine Fulbright Alumni Association. Sonia worked extensively in the field of UX and Interface Design for companies as Sony, CompuServe/AOL and IBM and her passion towards design, technology and education led her to become the founder of Aprentica, an Open Social Learning platform which helps democratize higher-education and where she gets to explore the latest web and mobile trends and become an EdTech innovator with a strong focus on design and user-experience.
Sonia was a Professor at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) in its Atlanta campus, an Associate Professor at Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico, and Visiting Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg, Austria and at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico. Her students have won several national and international contests with projects developed in class.
