Assistant Professor, Industrial Design
Josh Nelson is an educator and a designer. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and a Master’s degree in design from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He has more than 10 years of professional experience creating meaningful products and managing creative and collaborative teams. His work has been recognized with several awards including an IDEA Gold and an IxDA Best in Category.
Josh has focused his research on investigating how people-product interactions transform experiences and connect people. Josh is particularly interested in improving experiences for patients in healthcare by developing innovative medical devices and by implementing a patient-centered approach to design.
