Karin Curkowicz is a consulting interaction designer and design educator. With over ten years of experience in design consulting and over six years working at the world renown design consultancy frogdesign, Karin is well adept at guiding clients through the complex task of discovering what needs to be built and then working with them through the many trade-offs of detailed design work. She is also experienced at communicating the core concepts and concerns of interaction design, as well as leading, motivating and mentoring individuals through complex design process.
Karin brings to her projects experience with a wide variety of research methodologies and digital design best practices. In her experience, she has created: informational websites, web-applications, as well as interfaces for mobile devices, TV’s and medical/lifestyle devices. She has worked for major clients such AT&T, HP, Abbott, Vodafone, TiVo, Microsoft, and Cisco.
She currently teaches Interaction Design in SJSU’s Industrial Design Program. She graduated with honors from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Industrial Design. When she isn’t working for clients or training students, she is designing a small child.
