Standardized Testing

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) collaborates with the Testing Office to administer standardized testing to students register with the DRC who have a documented disability. The English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Math Test (ELM) are required to qualify for appropriate course work in order to satisfy specific General Education requirements. DRC also administers the Writing Skills Test (WST) which may be required of all undergraduate and graduate students prior to enrollment in a 100W course.

    • Deadlines for testing with accommodations differ from those set by the Testing Office. DRC deadlines are approximately one month prior to the test date.

    • Students will need to meet with a DRC counselor to set up accommodations prior to DRC deadlines. To set up an appointment, contact the DRC at (408) 924-6000.

    • For specific dates, deadlines, and other important information refer to the EPT/ELM orWST webpages.

    • Students will need to register and pay for the EPT/ELM or WST prior their appointment with a DRC counselor. Students are required to bring proof of payment to the DRC appointment.

  • DRC will email a testing confirmation one week prior to the exam.
