ECON 2A and ECON 2B are 8 week, online labs offered each Fall and Spring Semester. These are 1 unit, credit/no credit online labs. They are designed for transfer students who have 3 semester-unit Macroeconomics and Microeconomics courses from other colleges. SJSU Economics Department has 4 semester units of Introductory Micro and Introductory Macro. Transfer students who are economics majors and minors must make-up the missing unit.
The online course consists of online readings and problem-set questions. Problem-set questions are divided into practice questions and graded questions. You can see the results of the practice questions immediately but will have to wait until the assignment due date to see the results of the graded questions. The courses are completely online and run for 8 weeks at approximately 3 hours per week.
There is a computer fee for these courses. Before entering the course you will be prompted for payment. There is a 21-day grace period for this course. So you have time to enter the course, review the syllabus, and check the material. If you decide to drop the course within the 21 days, you can get a refund of your computer fee. There is no required book for the courses.
