Welcome!

Welcome to the website for the Department of Educational Leadership at San Jose State University College of Education.  In this website you will find information about our department and our various programs.

Faculty members in the College of Education at San José State University strive for excellence and equity in all we do each day. These aims drive the decisions we make about admissions, curriculum, instruction and assessment, selection of faculty and professional support staff and development. The faculty believe that success for all students as individuals and members of a pluralist democracy is the fundamental goal of education.

Our vision is to prepare courageous, reflective leaders who will guide their educational communities to create and sustain schools in which all students and staff use their minds and hearts well.

Dr. Noni Mendoza Reis, Chair
