Lurie College Technology Test (Level 1)
The Lurie College of Education Technology Test is an alternative for students who need to fulfill the State of California Level I Technology Requirement as part of the teacher credentialing process. Students who are enrolled in Multiple Subject or Single Subject credential programs are required to complete the Level I Technology Requirement for their preliminary teaching credential. Testing is in-person and iPad-based. (iPads are provided at the site for testing-do not bring your own). There are 35 items and the format is multiple choice. Students have up to 2 hours to complete the test.
A passing score on the Technology Test is valid for five (5) years from the date of the exam to the date of application for a credential.
Advanced registration is required. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fees & Registration
There is a $50 fee per test registration.
Payment/registration is made in advance through e-Market.
You must bring your printed receipt or show your e-receipt on your smart phone when checking in for the test. No cash/checks accepted.

Policies & Rules
Late Arrivals & Absentees
Late arrivals (after 8:30AM) and absentees will forfeit their test fee and be required to re-register for a future test date.
Valid emergencies are exceptions to this rule (e.g., documented illness or hospitalization). They will not have to submit an additional payment; however, they will have to re-register.
Along with your receipt of payment, a current, government issued ID is required for admission. It must be in the name in which you registered and have your photograph and signature.
Acceptable IDs include:
- Driver’s license
- State ID card

- Student ID
- Credit cards
- Social Security card
Test Center Regulations
All cell phones must be turned off and left in the designated area.
Please do not bring these items with you to the test:
- Electronic devices such as calculators, computers, tablets/iPads
- Backpacks or other bags (purses are allowed)
- Food or drink
- Handwritten or printed materials including books, notebooks, and study guides
