Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering at San Jose State University, often referred
to as "the engine that drives Silicon Valley," is keenly aware of the importance in
continuing education among engineering and technical managers. In order to meet this
need, our Engineering Extended Studies office has been offering off-campus, advanced
degree programs since 1996. Our off-campus, non-corporate programs are designed for
working professionals and available at various sites in Silicon Valley, including the Lucas
Business Complex on Bunker Hill Lane just off Great America Parkway. Students earn a
master’s degree or certificate in under two years
Our corporate degree and certificate programs are customized based on company
requirements. The curriculum is co-developed by a joint steering committee with an
emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world applications. Classes for these programs
are taught on location at the corporation, including KLA-Tencor, Lam Research, and
Lockheed Martin among others.
The 2017 U.S. News & World Report ranked SJSU's Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering
as #3 in the nation among all public engineering programs offering
bachelor's and master's degrees, excluding service academies. For more information
