The College of Education Technology Test is designed to allow students to challenge the content of EDIT 122 - Microcomputers for Educators.
 

 

Test Dates

Technology Test Dates 2008
Students enrolling in Teacher Education, Child Development, or Special Education teacher credential programs (both single and multiple subjects) should plan to take the College of Education Technology Test. The College of Education Technology Test is a four-hour long, hands-on examination designed to assess students readiness for "methods" courses and student teaching experiences. The test will be administered at the following times:
Note: Check in time is at 7:30 am in Sweeney Hall 431 for Saturday testing and 3:30 pm for Friday testing.

  • December 13, 2008 - 8:00am - Saturday - SH 431
  • January 16, 2009 - 4:00pm - Friday - SH 431

Students may register for the test in Sweeney Hall 305 or by clicking here (Note: this form required Adobe Acrobat Reader available free on line from http://www.adobe.com/acrobat).

Test Registration Confirmation:  Payment receipt and test day instructions will be issued at the time of registration or by email for mail-in registration. 

Test Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy:  A 48 hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a confirmed test date.  Call the office at (408)924-3771 or email eledtechnologytest@gmail.com to advise of your change in plans.  Refunds and/or credits will not be given without the 48 hour notification. 

Test Competency Requirement:   The State of California requires proof of competency in all (8) technology test tasks as a requirement for a teaching credential.  Test retakes are available for up to 2 sections of the test and must be taken within 3 months of the initial test date.  Retakes will require a new registration form and a $10.00 fee for each section. 

 

NOTE: While efforts are made to match students to operating systems (Mac or PC) it is not possible to guarantee students the computer operating system of their choice.  No student is guaranteed a Mac or a PC. Please report 30 minutes ahead of time on test day. Tests are given in Sweeney Hall 431 and 446.
