Literacy Across the Curriculum for an Equitable Society (LACES)
The Literacy Across the Curriculum for an Equitable Society (LACES) M.A. in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) degree program option offers a dynamic experience for K-8 teachers interested in advocacy for social justice and equitable literacy learning and teaching in urban schools. The LACES program option addresses the Common Core and new California ELD Standards and meeting the needs of English Language Learners, among other emphases, in all courses. The LACES program of study addresses the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing standards for the Reading Certificate (Added Authorization) and Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential.
Fall 2014 - May 15, 2014 (priority deadline)
Applications will be accepted until the July 1 deadline. Thereafter, applications will be evaluated and admissions will occur on a rolling basis.
