The College of Education Technology Test is provided as an alternative for students who need to fulfill the State of California Technology requirements as part of the teacher credentialing process. The test is designed for those who have expertise in using computers - either from previous coursework or through real-world experiences. It is not intended to replace appropriate coursework and/or background preparation in technology. The test is designed to assess student knowledge and allow students to challenge the content of EDUC 122: Transforming Teaching and Learning with Technology.
Students enrolling in a Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Special Education teaching credential program should plan to take the College of Education Technology Test. The test is a four-hour long, hands-on examination designed to assess students readiness for "methods" courses and student teaching experiences.
