The College of Education Technology Test is provided as an alternative for students who need to fulfill the State of California Level I Technology Requirement as part of the teacher credentialing process. Students enrolled in a Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Special Education Credential Program are required to complete the Level I Technology Requirement for their preliminary teaching credential. The test is designed for those who have expertise in using computers - either from previous coursework or through real-world experiences. It is not intended to replace appropriate coursework and/or background preparation in technology. The test is a four-hour long, hands-on examination designed to assess students understanding and application in technology.
